Horarios Transporte Cantabria 1.3.5

The public transportation services of the Cantabria Transportation Network (TC) are now accessible through the application "Horarios Transporte Cantabria."

This app allows users to consult information regarding public transport services for road travel (National, Regional, Commuter, TUS, and Night Services), rail travel (Renfe Feve and Renfe Commuter), and air travel (Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport) within the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.

Users can search for public transport services by origin/destination and date for both regional and national road services, as well as for rail services. For commuter bus services and the urban transport system in Santander (TUS), it offers estimated arrival times at each stop and facilitates the selection of favorite stops based on individual preferences. Additionally, for TUS services, users can view estimated times by selecting nearby stops through GPS, along with the real-time geo-positioning of buses for each line.

Data for the Urban Transport of Santander (TUS) is sourced from the Santander City Council (http://datos.santander.es).

Regarding air travel, the application provides information on departures and arrivals of both national and international flights at Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport, including the airline, scheduled and estimated times, as well as flight statuses.

Furthermore, using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, this app allows users to check the balance and recent transactions associated with active contracts on their contactless "TRANSPORTE de Cantabria" card. It is important to note that a compatible mobile device must support Mifare Classic 1K technology (MIFARE® is a property of NXP Semiconductors). However, many smartphone manufacturers have transitioned away from incorporating NXP's NFC microchip and have switched to different vendors like Broadcom. This shift has led to compatibility issues with some phones unable to read MIFARE® cards until NXP releases its encryption algorithm (Crypto1). Consequently, while devices might support NFC, certain models like LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, S6, BQ M5, and Nexus 10 may not be able to read "TRANSPORTE de Cantabria" cards. The communication compatibility between the NFC chip and the NXP card is determined by the technology of these components rather than this application.
